Isaac Sr. married Mary _______ around 1752 at age 21. By the time he had reached 30, he owned 330 acres of land which
he had acquired from the Earl of Granville in Edgecombe Co., North Carolina on 15 October, 1761. By this date, He and Mary had a family
of at least four sons. Within the next eight years his land holdings had been increased by 500 acres according to a deed from Jacob Dunn
recorded in Deed Book D, page 96, dated 28 February 1769. The family had also increased by three additional sons. In October 1783 Isaac
Sr. received two land grants from the state of North Carolina recorded in Deed Book E, pages 213 and 214 for 300 and 326 acres respectively.
This brought the land holdings of Isaac Sr. to 1,788 acres. His will was probated in Pitt County, NC., July 1787 and Stephen and Coburn Eason
were the Executors.
